Negate Or Sublimate

Mistake:An error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.

That all sounds rather bad.
Who would want to be thought of as careless? Who would want to make mistakes on purpose?
At times we may evaluate wrongly; misunderstand; misinterpret. Explain this to others when it happens, that is admirable.

It turns out that many of society’s most well-known inventions were simply mistakes made by scientists on alternative quests. Sir Alexander Fleming noticed that a contaminated Petri dish which he had discarded contained a mould that was dissolving all the bacteria around it. When he grew the mould by itself, he learned that it contained a powerful antibiotic, penicillin.

In one of my many lives, I was a songwriter and at a writing workshop and performance session, we were lucky to hear from one half of the former duo Leonardos Bride who told us that when they wrote the song "Even When I'm Sleeping", they threw it into the bin as they thought of it as too sweet and they didn't think that it would work...a mistake. But what if? That song launched their career once they gave it another chance.
Don't waste your time on regret, "coulda, shoulda, woulda" by discounting your thoughts and beliefs. Give "discounts" for what you want to clear out from your life, but don't discount your viewpoint because things aren't working out at one particular time. Compromise with others, but don't sell yourself short, know your value, it's ok to make mistakes. No one is a mistake.

Mistakes happen, life happens and some good things happen in between. Go you good thing!

As for Dali, did you know that he designed the logo for Chupa Chup's lollypops? Crazy? That's not for an artist..why set yourself boundaries?
Dalí insisted that his design be placed on top of the lolly, rather than the side, so that it could always be viewed intact. It’s proved to be one of the most enduring pieces of branding ever and one that’s still used today, four billion sales later..
