Same, But Different.

The end is nigh! That empty feeling.

Dear Dolce & Gabbana,
You are fooling no one with your "modern interpretation of Pour Femme". Same packaging, different colours, different scent, not a flanker*, just no, it is too soon since Pour Femme (pictured) was discontinued. We mourn. Creating your own Parfum De Toilette strength (Eau De Parfum) confused a few, not many, you jokers! When customers asked me by the dozen if we still stocked the original Pour Femme (alas no), a silent internal joy came over me knowing that I had a bottle at home. Alas no more.

Carolina Herrera Chic Parfum-You served me well blending and lifting Pour Femme to a new level and doing your own thing in between. I thank you.

To the pirates of the sandalwood trees in India, now extinct-I detest you!
Short term money ended long term gain. It did create an Australian sandalwood industry, but it is a different scent. With population growth and demands increasing, it looks as if chemical alternatives that "smell like" the natural ingredients are a thing of the future. Hopefully longevity is on that list for future fragrances under the $500 price point, alas the current Eau De Parfums fall short to the (pictured) gems of the past.

Gone, but not forgotten.

KMR

*In perfumery, a flanker refers to a newly created perfume that shares some attributes of an already existing perfume. These attributes may be the name, packaging or notes of the existing fragrance.
