My single mother raised me away from a violent alcoholic "father", that was his life journey not ours. She barely spoke english, worked 3 jobs, put money away for me and taught me to have a positive attitude in life.

We didn't struggle, but it wasn't easy. I wouldn't change it for the world. "Never say "I can't". Give it your best try and if it doesn't work out, try something else. Keep trying"-My mum's advice.

This year she is turning 70. She is a writer, an artist and she learnt to swim at age of 64.

Yes life can be damn hard at times, but how you choose to live it is exactly that...your choice. Choose wisely.
