Clock In To Work, Clock Yourself Out For The Day

After working a full day in my pharmacy's beauty division as the Manager, I like to take a long walk home and literarily smell the floral scents in the evening air. Sometimes I even wonder into cosmetic stores or discount fragrance chains to see what's what.

I take pics, I "ooh" & "ahh" over products, straighten stock on the shelves sometimes..security watch me and check my bag most of the time. "No Soup For You!!"

Happiness-not as easy as it sounds, but as good as it feels.

That's fine, I will never curb my enthusiasm for cosmetic products because of how blasé others may feel about smelly water (fragrance fan) or pot's  of stuff (skincare innovations). I will be overjoyed if the moment takes me there.

I do not "mystery shop" for free, I am not there to correct people either, although I am often reminded of how much I love my job and my staff after lacklustre shopping experiences. Tonight I was offered spray cards, very good.

"Sorry I didn't realise that the glass doors on your fragrance bays were unlocked, thanks for the cards" I said. "They are locked, I'm just finishing my shift, thought I'd give them to you, see ya" he replied to me as he left for the day. It felt as though I had walked into a restaurant, the waiter hands me a plate and says to me "we have run out of food, please wait while I go home".

Again I repeat to you, I am not there to correct anyone, my eyes are on the prize and I wait for the next staff member to walk over. He opens the cabinet for me, as I am transfixed on Dior Fahrenheit Parfum (EDT lasts 30 mins on my skin, seriously, EDP 2 hours'ish). "Do you have a tester?"..I am dying with anticipation. "Yes" he replies, I sweat, as he starts to grab the J'adore tester (WTF-What The F..ragrance?! He was reaching for the wrong fragrance tester bottle). No. Please. Stop. $114, no tester, no go. $20..I might buy. High cost doesn't automatically make it valuable.

I walked in with no expectations, I wasn't disappointed (confused for a bit though), I walked out in the same manner that I had walked in..happy.
