Diamonds & Pearls...Happy Boy Or A Girl.

KMR Bling-A-Ling
I have very fond memories of the day that I entered the Paspaley pearl store here in Sydney. Like myself, my friend has worked in the jewellery industry and today she told me that she wasnt very fond of pearls. My inquisitive nature drove us forward.

  • The sales consultant was phenomenal. He showed us every range, we wore several pieces of jewellery (some where priced in the tens of thousands) and his enthusiasm was infectious. He was like a kid in a candy store "wait until you see this next piece", I couldn't wait. He didn't know what we did for work and he didn't care as it was about us seeing the pieces as wearable and attainable, learning more about the ranges and the history of the company. This was the extreme opposite to that scene in Pretty Woman where she was made to feel out of place by the sales staff who passed judgement on her.
    The Paspaley Pearl
Pictured is a giant priceless pearl which he displayed on his hand for us to see, because why not?

Pearls have come a long way from their reputation as a symbol for the elite and they are now worn on the skin of rappers and the next gen.

I too love seeing people try on jewellery and  I love watching a customer spray a fragrance on themselves whilst in my store and observing the uplift to their emotions and slightly to their stature as the fragrance envelops them and portrays an air of confidence. The fragrance and even pearls come alive when they touch your skin.

Memories begin (weddings, christening, graduation, love, self pride and adornment) with jewellery and they live on for many years to come.

+500 fragrances are launched every year worldwide and those fragrant moments in time may be discontinued. Time to make new moments. But remember that the oyster gave you it's precious pearl and it loses it's lustre if it comes in contact with a sprayed fragrance. A dab of pure parfum extrait behind your ears, on your pulse points works best.

Blind them with your semi precious stones, diamonds and pearls when you enter a room and leave a lingering but not too strong parfum sillage as you pass them by. Life is too short for fake jewellery, fake fragrances or fake people. Save your money to buy the real thing and save the headaches by hanging out with the real deal.

Be confident, be kind.

  • P.S. June's birthstone is Pearl. Happy Birthday to you!
